I have over 20 years of experience in animal behavior and training. My techniques focus on evidence-based philosophies and researched-backed training methods.
My passion for helping animals began more than 20 years ago while working with shelter dogs, where I helped socialize, rehabilitate, and support their early training. Those experiences sparked a lifelong passion for understanding animal behavior and strengthening the bond between pets and the people who love them.
That passion led me to earn an Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology with a focus on animal behavior and the . Over the years, I have worked alongside veterinarians, professional trainers, rescue organizations, and pet families, using positive reinforcement, fear-free, and force-free training methods that strengthen communication, build trust, and promote lasting behavior change.
Learning is a lifelong commitment, which is why I pursued and recently obtained a Master's degree in Animal Science and Behavior. By combining advanced education with more than two decades of hands-on experience, I provide compassionate, science-based guidance tailored to each dog and family. My goal is simple: to help every dog thrive while giving owners the knowledge and confidence to enjoy a happier, more rewarding life together.
This is why I created TRUE Pet Training, to help pets and their people build Trust, mutual Respect and Understanding so they can Embrace the human-animal bond in a positive and meaningful way.
The TRUE Pet Training Approach is built on the belief that meaningful training begins with a strong relationship. Training is not simply about teaching a pet to sit, stay, or walk politely on a leash. It is about creating a partnership in which both the pet and the person feel heard, supported, and confident.
By building Trust between you and your pet, you create a foundation of mutual Respect and develop the Understanding needed to Embrace the training process. Together, these principles create a positive learning experience while strengthening the human-animal bond.
The TRUE approach was created with a simple philosophy: I want to be your first training resource, not your last resort. Through compassionate, positive, and relationship-focused training, my goal is to help you better understand your pet, build confidence together, and create a partnership that lasts well beyond the training session.
